Contenido: This paper addresses children’s natural rights. The study aims to implement a space for children’s playing with nature elements in a public schoolyard for early childhood education at a town in southern Brazil. In terms of methodology, the investigation consists of action research with 17 four- to five-year-old children. During the investigation, children participated in planning, fundraising, construction, and organising a ‘mud kitchen’. Settlement of the space has gained aid from the Municipal Secretary of Education (SMED), families and small local businesspersons. Results showed that children’s relation with nature is cut across by playful experiences with earth and water, as well as adult, family and teacher participation as positive mediators. Contenido: In these pages we will discuss how violence is used comparing two ethnographic research, one between the members of what is commonly called hooligans and the other between members of the Buenos Aires police. We hold that the actions violets are resources that actors use as a form of group aggregation and as a builder of social ties. Violence is conventionally interpreted as an action depreciated and therefore is invisivilizada, hidden or overshadowed. However, it is effective to define a sense of belonging and obtain forms of group distinction tool. We, then, in comparison, to violence as a currency of honor and prestige. We end by asking what kind of action is violence and illuminating response comparing different uses that exhibit the cases analyzed.

Contenido: The present work has been constituted in an effort to understand certain aspects related to the social production of contemporary identity discourses of women who are ethnically ascribed as indigenous and to inscribe them within the framework of a broader social process. The specificity of the proposed theme is inscribed in the heterogeneity of meanings that these women recognize when defining themselves as indigenous, which allows beginning to outline a field of research in an area where this theme was only linked to the past through historical and archaeological studies. In this sense, although there are studies at the national level, in the city of Olavarría they have not been carried out systematically or from the perspective of their protagonists. For this reason, it is proposed to build new and updated knowledge through an ethnographic approach that allows analyzing and understanding the various processes of identity construction in an intermediate-type city.

Contenido: The episode of the legendary Hercules who, in an attack of blind passion, destroyed what were considered the founding principles of the social tie, introduces the issue of treatment of affectivity in anthropology. The article notes that the interest in affectivity in the human sciences implies not only the emergence of a new analytic field about an important aspect of social activity, but also a reflection on the modalities of knowledge in these disciplines. In fact, to propose the affective dimension as an analytic object has consequences in terms of how to approach knowledge, because the very existence of an affective dimension obliges us to rethink the cognitive dimension inherent in the act of knowledge. In this paper I propose some methodological elements for reflection derived from these ideas.

Contenido: The purpose of this essay is to enhance the inquiry on aboriginal pottery from Patagonia and surrounding areas, according to documentary sources. The available data for ceramic containers and alternative materials is reviewed, including their types, uses, and provenances. In order to evaluate documents representativeness, a confidence measurement is deployed by means of comparative data on leather working. It is discussed the role of regional pottery through time, the relationship between information lacks and historical absences, the existence of non-utilitarian choices, and causal factors for change.

Contenido: Este trabajo trata de la iniciativa del Grupo de Estudos dos Novos Ilegalismos de la Universidad Federal Fluminense (GENI/UFF) de producción de datos propios sobre operaciones policiales en Rio de Janeiro. El objetivo es completar importantes brechas de las estadísticas oficiales e intervenir en el debate y las decisiones públicas sobre acciones letales perpetradas por el Estado en favelas. Anclados en la perspectiva del activismo de datos, investigadores del GENI/UFF han establecido colaboraciones para incidir sobre el espacio público a través de los números. Aunque los datos oficiales disponibles atestan la exorbitante letalidad resultante de acciones policiales, no aportan ninguna información sobre las operaciones policiales. Este artículo presenta los principales resultados del levantamiento inédito realizado por el GENI/UFF sobre esas operaciones, en serie histórica, y narra las experiencias recientes de colaboración con otros colectivos, por medio de informes, para incidir sobre una acción que tramita en el Superior Tribunal Federal sobre el tema de las operaciones policiales en favelas.

Contenido: El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la organización del espacio a diferentes escalas en sitios arqueológicos Formativos del Noroeste Argentino. Se tomo como área muestra un cono glacis localizado en la vertiente oriental de Aconquija, valle de Tafí. Las construcciones arqueológicas pertenecen a la cultura Tafí, periodo Formativo (2296 ±70 AP al 1140 ±50 AP). El tratamiento estadístico de los recintos identificados mediante fotointerpretación indicó que los simples (construcción circular de piedra aislada) tenían distribución regular. Esta clase de distribución es producto de la funcionalidad _ principal del área. Se excavo el patio de una unidad compuesta. Se colectaron 107 muestras de piso conjuntamente con los restos arqueológicos. Con el análisis de las firmas químicas se identificaron tres áreas de actividad. La primera donde se procesaba la caza; la segunda relacionada con el manejo de vegetales; y la tercera relacionada con la presencia de dos cistas. Los resultados se contrastaron con la descripción y análisis del perfil de excavación. Esta aproximación constituye el primer trabajo de esta naturaleza aplicado a sitios arqueológicos argentinos

Contenido: In this article we set out to analyze the images of childhood that different sociopolitical actors put into play in popular neighborhoods of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires. We refer to initiatives promoted by residents, volunteers and political activists who have come up with a collectivized proposal for the care of children. We will base our analysis on the records that come from the anthropological and ethnographic field work that we have carried out since 2001 in the north and north-west of Buenos Aires city suburbs (Gran Buenos Aires). The analysis seeks to document the ways in which the production of images regarding children and their needs takes place as the political subjectivities of those who promote these actions are generated and shaped. This process, far from being restricted to adults, involves children fully, who turn out to be active in the processes of construction of those actions that have them as their object.
