En este trabajo nos proponemos analizar la poética cubista presente en el flamenco, que se hace explícita y se desarrollada en la obra de Vicente Escudero de 1924, estrenada en el Théâtre de la Courbe de París. Siguiendo, de esta forma, con los planteamientos escénicos que comenzaron a desarrollarse a principios del siglo XX en torno a las vanguardias. Asimismo, esta poética cubista sigue estando presente aún hoy en algunas creaciones, como las del bailaor Israel Galván en su espectáculo La Curva, 2010. De esta forma pretendemos establecer una correlación entre el cubismo y las creaciones de estos dos artistas a partir de la transformación de los códigos tradicionales insertos en los lenguajes artísticos.

Abstract: 

In this paper we analyze the cubist poetics present in flamenco, which was initiated and developed by Vicente Escudero in 1924 at the Théâtre de la Courbe in Paris, following the scenic approaches which began to be developed in the early twentieth century around the avant-garde. Also, this cubist poetics is still present even today in some creations, such as the dancer Israel Galván’s performance La Curva of 2010. In this way we intend to establish a correlation between Cubism and the creations of these two artists based on the transformation of traditional codes included in the artistic languages.
