Conmemorar los 100 años de la publicación del libro “La fatiga y sus proyecciones sociales” escrito por Alfredo Palacios y publicado en 1922, ofrece la ocasión para evocar el impacto de la obra en la Historia de la Psicología en la Argentina. Para ello, el artículo indagará sobre las referencias teóricas y la fundamentación científico-tecnológica de la experiencia realizada por Alfredo Palacios al momento de estudiar los efectos psicofisiológicos de la fatiga. El recorrido permite situar el concepto de fatiga en el marco de los planteos del positivismo de principios del siglo XX en Argentina y la confianza depositada en el papel del conocimiento científico en la resolución de problemas sociales.

Abstract: 

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the publication of the book “Fatigue and its social projections” written by Alfredo Palacios and published in 1922, offers the opportunity to evoke the impact of the work on the History of Psychology in Argentina. For this, the article will investigate the theoretical references and the scientific-technological foundation of the experience carried out by Alfredo Palacios when studying the psychophysiological effects of fatigue. The tour allows us to place the concept of fatigue within the framework of the positivism of the early twentieth century in Argentina and the trust placed in the role of scientific knowledge in solving social issues.
