Algunos ejemplos de las crónicas del siglo XIII, como la del franciscano Salimbene de Parma, se muestran receptivos de géneros como el del exemplum, una tipología de gran significación en la actividad de predicación de las órdenes mendicantes, pero atenuando su perfil de ficción en favor de narraciones que pretenden transmitir veracidad factual por medio de recursos de inserción temporal y/o espacial o con la identificación de protagonistas e informantes.

Abstract:

Some examples of the chronicles of the thirteenth century, as the franciscan Salimbene of Parma, are receptive of genres such as the exemplum, a typology of great significance in the activity of preaching of the mendicant orders, but reducing their fictional profile for of stories they want to convey factual veracity through resources of temporary insertion and / or space or identifying actors and informants.
