El autor explicita una serie de conceptos que serán de ineludible reflexión desde una prospectiva bibliotecológica: la vivificación de las bibliotecas como sí-lugares donde se desarrolle la comunicación cara a cara; el incremento de la dimensión social y la participación política de los bibliotecólogos; la idoneidad de nuestra disciplina para captar la migración del impreso a las representaciones virtuales; la búsqueda del equilibrio entre unicidad y diversidad en la construcción del conocimiento y la epistemología bibliotecológica; la validez de los estudios micro-bibliotecológicos para conocer el transcurrir cotidiano de bibliotecólogos y lectores presenciales o remotos; el compromiso personal para incorporar a los excluidos en las destrezas interpretativas que generan la lectura y la escritura.

The author makes explicit a number of concepts that will be unavoidable reflection from a librarianship prospective: to bring new life to libraries as yes-places where the face to face communication were developed; increasing the social dimension and the political participation of librarians; the adequacy of our discipline to capture the migration from print to virtual representations; the search for balance between unity and diversity in the construction of knowledge and epistemology of librarianship; the validity of micro-library & information studies to know the daily nature of librarians and present or remote readers; the personal commitment to include the excluded people developing interpretative skills generated by reading and writing.
